GREENSBORO, N.C. — Authorities in Greensboro are investigating the death of an 83-year-old woman after police confirmed the case is being treated as a homicide.
According to the Greensboro Police Department, officers responded to a call around 8:51 a.m. on Friday morning after reports of a woman found unresponsive. When first responders arrived at the scene, they discovered the elderly woman deceased.
Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity, pending notification of next of kin.
Investigators quickly secured the area as a crime scene and began collecting evidence. Police have not shared details regarding a possible suspect or motive at this time, and it remains unclear what led to the incident.
